Anthrocon 2009 is come and gone, woot. I'm sure you'll read a zillion posts from everyone on how awesome everything was, and this year was pretty good for me too.

First, a zillion thanks to my fox for pretty much doing everything in regards to planning, transportation, logistics, and keeping bunnies sane. I love that little purple headed fox. Seriously, he dyed his head fuzz purple!

We roomed with Kurst at this convention (first con ever for us where we didn't get a room that was "ours," though we did have Fel stay with us one year). Talk about a crazy yote... he got a full body fursuit this year. When the yote is in his suit, he is a full on 100% yote. Many thanks to Tredain for keeping him slightly wrangled. You can't really control a hyperyote, but you can try to keep him away from canyon cliffs and whatnot. No major disasters there, and his costume is amazing.

At the table, we sold a lot of copies of the new issues of Spooo Presents. There's a new issue of Rocketship Rodents by Werepuppy and Trejaan, a new Mark Wulfgar story, and the amazing all color special!

We did a lot of hanging out with folks including the crazy FurAffinity United crew. Much beer was drank. Thanks to Zero, Cray, and Preyfar for that. We spent some crazy quality time with color special author Tredain, the silly white fox that he is. Lots of visits from friends on the east coast at the table too.

Overall, the convention was quite nice. The hotel has obviously stepped it up a notch over last year's abysmal performance. Air conditioning worked, the housekeeping on our floor was quite nice, and even the front desk wasn't the angry group they were last year. Good job on improving there from epic fail to win. We didn't park this year since we flew in (thanks to Sunny and Kelin for picking us up at the airport, btw!) And, I was very pleased to see that there were security devices put in the dealers' room for after hours. No disasters there.

Convention was nice, but now I'm home with a fox and that's a good thing.

Our warehouse is not as big as our former Massachusetts location, but all the inventory fits (for now). But we're going to be producing a bunch of new books for the upcoming convention season and need your help to clear space!

All orders placed for Fur Affinity shirts (see list below) and a Rabbit Valley title (or more) for the next week will receive a gift item from our warehouse.

Orders must be placed after noon west coast time on Sunday and include at least one item form the FA Shirt list and one item from the Rabbit Valley title list.

reetings Folks,

Yesterday was the last day you can place an order to have it shipped before we load the truck and head west to Las Vegas. I'm picking and packing those orders now, and they're shipping today.

IMPORTANT: When placing credit card orders be careful to make sure your billing address is the address that your card statement is received, and that your shipping address is where you want the books sent. This will help the processing of your order. We would hate to see someone's order delayed for two or three weeks because he/she did not indicate the correct billing address - it happens all the time.

While we are in transit - starting Wednesday, April 8th - the on-line store will continue to accept your orders, and we promise that we will be processing all orders when we arrive at our new location in Las Vegas during the week of April 20th.

However, from April 7th through April 20th we will be unable to answer customer service emails, ship orders, or return phone calls - we will respond to all inquiries once we are set up during the week of April 20th.

I know my foxy doesn't really celebrate the whole birthday thing and try to call attention to himself, but I think it should be all about the [info]rifkafox for once. He's another year older, but just as cute and fuzzy as ever, and I love him. Go send him a birthday spanking.

Speaking of which, you should watch http://www.furaffinity.net/user/quelyntr/ for the birthday present the foxy got. :)

It's been an interesting time here at Rabbit Valley so far this year. Nothing too thrilling to discuss in the world of comics, though. Still waiting for Cocktails Winter 2009 to show up, not much new to announce in the pipeline for Spooo yet (though, it will be continuing), and overall just lots of bills and taxes to catch up on.

We're entering day 5 of being without a cable/satellite television service. Last Friday, the fox and I figured that we watch about 5 TV shows...

My Name is Earl
30 Rock
Mythbusters
Rick and Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All the World
and Whatever Old Stuff Was on the DVR from Adult Swim

$80 a month for that just didn't seem worth it, especially when you can just download the videos on the companies' own websites! We'll see how this plays out.

Stay safe, stay sane.

PS: The bunny has decided that he will be a fox this year, but the fox isn't quite sure about that. So if you see a bunny going "Yip," don't be afraid. Be confused instead.

I'm still amazed that Cartoon Network's "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" rickroll'ed the entire United States at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's encouraged me to rickroll every person I meet at work now.

Coming to Midwest FurFest this month, the newest issue of Spooo Presents reprises the story of Lyle and Jason in "Moving In" presented in Spooo Presents Issue #11. Runtt and new artist Diman continue the story of a distant future of New York City. In this newest issue, "Life in the Co-Op: Performance of a Lifetime," we learn some backstory about everyone's favorite drama bunny Ralph, er, I, um, I mean BEIGE as he prefers to be called, and new characters Charles and Joseph. It's Joseph's first night on stage at the Bunny Hop Club, and all the boys are here to see!

Hitting the site as soon as the books arrive here, you can order at here at Rabbit Valley.

And if you live in the US, and you are legally allowed to vote, you should too.

Oh, and if you were able to vote, and you didn't, do not bother ordering this week. Seriously. GO VOTE.
